Sitting on the same bench every day, an old man observes the metro trains and their passengers, witnessing countless absurd, touching, hilarious as well as tragic moments of every-day life.
“Das Tor zur Welt” (Gateway to the World) was my debut short film. It went on to win the Crowd for Shorts Award by the Film Foundation Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft.
